Very useful for someone who wants to learn the language as a whole. But it has flaws one problem with this book is that it uses words that are not included in this book. As you are supposed to "intuitively work then out" which is almost impossible so you will need to translate those words from somewhere else in the net like Yabla or Google translate. You will find later on that many Chinese words have multiple meanings. Some of which are included and some are not. Sometimes it will use a word in an unfamiliar way that you won't understand. So I would say it's good. But it has a couple of annoying flaws which add to learning time and can be frustrating.
