Ben, Mia, and Samir pick up a strange morph-pulse linked to disruptions in underwater barometric sensors, throwing off early warning systems across Earth’s oceans. With their drone companion LEX, they dive through a Lexi-gate into the Aqua Rift, a submerged morph zone where something has gone wrong deep below the surface.
While exploring the zone, LEX accidentally reactivates a long-dormant diver bot from an old monitoring system, which identifies LEX as an intruder. As the team investigates further, they discover a leaking control device at the core of the disruption. As the pressure builds, literally and figuratively, they must find a way to shut the diver bot down and fix the leaking control device before it’s too late.
Root words (baro, aqua, amphi, andr, auto, anti, and aud) are woven into the mission through meaningful context and character action. A Root Recap and extension activities at the end support morphological understanding and rereading for confidence, making the book ideal for classrooms, intervention settings, and home learning.
With diverse characters, full-colour illustrations, and fast-moving scenes, Aqua Rift continues the Morph Explorers series with an underwater mission that builds knowledge one root at a time.
