Yves Patrick Beaulieu è un franco canadese che vive in Quebec, nel nord-ovest del Quebec, più precisamente ad Abitibi-Témiscamingue, una regione situata nel cuore della foresta boreale canadese. Nel 1991 ha presentato il suo primo romanzo: " Au passage de la neuvième lune" e ha ricevuto il riconoscimento regionale. L'autore ripresenta dieci anni dopo con un secondo romanzo: “L'ermitage” che riceve anche un bel tributo dalla sua regione di adozione. Nel 2015, Yves Patrick ha pubblicato i suoi lavori su Amazon tramite l'editore online LuLu.com e ha presentato il suo sito web Ecrits de l'Abitibi, su yvespatrick.com!
