Quand le printemps vint, un genévrier poussa à l'endroit où Aïcha avait enterré les os. Tous les jours, le genévrier se mettait à chanter : "Ma mère m'a égorgé, mon père m'a mangé, Aïcha a ramassé mes os". En entendant l'arbre chanter ainsi, la mère prit peur ; elle se saisit d'une hache et l'abattit, mais les racines continuaient de chanter.
