David Stuart Davies is the author of numerous novels, plays and non-fiction books, a film historian and an expert on Arthur Conan Doyleâs Sherlock Holmes. A Yorkshireman through and through, he was born in Huddersfield, studied English at Leeds University and taught English for twenty years before becoming a full-time writer. He lives with his wife in Huddersfield.
