Another wonderful peep into the chaotic life of Doreen Montgomery. Dale Mayer has written such zany, likeable characters in this series of cosy mysteries. Doreen, once married to a wealthy, controlling, cheating husband, now deceased, is now living in Kelowna in a house given to her by her beloved Nan and is engaged to Corporal Mack Moreau of the Kelowna PD. Doreen has no domestic skills but she does have a talent for sleuthing, people talk to her, she gets results. Mack is proud of her but also

As the Lovely Lethal Gardens Rewind books incorporate the characters and theme of the previous series, the wit, mystery and comic relief are still present. Nan still has her retirement home buddies in their Sherlock caps as they try to help Doreen solve the cold cases. Doreen's animals are quick to win hearts and protect her as well. Mac is the ever patient fiance who tries quite unsuccessfully to keep Doreen out of danger. All in all this is a great series with wonderful personalities to kee

I really enjoyed reading X-ray in the Zanth . Doreen and her animal family find themselves involved in another cold case which ties into the cold case she just solved then quickly learns it's part of mack's current case . This time it's quite the puzzle to unravel . Doreen reached out to Doreen's sleuths for information along with others to try to get answers . This story is outstanding . It's entertaining and intriguing and delightful all rolled into one . I never get tired of these cozy myste
