A recent graduate of Harvard Medical School, Hunter McGuire moves to Lexington, Virginia, to complete his internship at a large clinic. There, he falls in love with young nursing student Jodie Lockwood, who is just leaving town to finish training as a surgeon's assistant. He and his wife, JoAnna Lacy, are coauthors of the Mail Order Bride, Hannah of Fort Bridger, and Shadow of Liberty series. The Lacys make their home in the Colorado Rockies.
