Something as light as the ‘Bumble Bee’ or the mixed feelings of nostalgia in ‘The House’ or, the traumatic realization of ‘– the death of mighty Death’ in ‘Tread Softly’, or the bold and angry outburst in ‘Betrayal’, awakens a variety of emotions.Wings of Freedom has Nature’s inspirational presence throughout.As the book progresses from one poem to the next, the reader’s mind will flow like a meandering river, move to the rhythm of a flight where the bird perches for a second on a swaying branch before taking off again, or, sometimes, rise high like an oceanwave or, fall gently like a leaf to rest in the warmth of night’s ‘sweet embrace’.
作者简介
The author, Papia Ray, was born in Kolkata, India. Her school years were spent in different parts of the country. She graduated from Patna University and did her B. Ed.from Calcutta University. She was a teacher of English in a well known school at Ranchi. The Second Spring is her first published novel. Wings of Freedom is her first published collection of poems. She loves reading, writing and travelling. She lives in Newtown, Kolkata with her husband.
