Transparent Cross
I listen to many of his sermons while at work. He may not have been a "straight teacher" but his passion is unchallenged by a great majority of American pulpits today. Much of his words wouldn't penetrate many professing believers' hearts today; we just don't care but for heaven. Mr. Ravenhill was not afraid to pierce the Sword and let it dangle at the side of Laodiceans; it still does today if we are willing to see his passion for Christ.

This book should be required reading for anyone contemplating entering the ministry. For those already engaged in ministry it will shock you, humble you,and hopefully call you out of slumber into the battle. Ravenhill is akin to men we read about in the bible,as a man who was touched by God himself. He says what he means and means what he says, all while imploring the church to once again cry out to God as the only source of power. I cannot recommend this book any more highly.

One of the best books written on the subject of revival in over 100 years. Ravenhill at the same time goes in depth while keeping brevity of text. Not only do I recommend reading I would question your reasons not to.
