Having joined the BBC as a trainee in 1984, Jeremy Bowen first became a foreign correspondent four years later. Jeremy Bowen is Middle East Editor for the BBC and has covered the majority of breaking news and stories from the Middle East since the 1991 Gulf War. He is the author of two previous books: Six Days and War Stories.
