Uzma Azeem, PhD, is affiliated with the Sanmati Government College of Science Education and Research, Ludhiana, Punjab, India. She was formerly Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany and Environmental Sciences at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Punjab, India. To date, she has authored 11 paper publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals and one book, Fungi for Human Health: Current Knowledge and Future Perspectives. Dr. Azeem earned her MPhil and doctorate in Botany with specialization in Mycology and Plant Pathology at Punjabi University, India.
Khalid Rehman Hakeem, PhD, is a Professor at King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where he is also Head of the Plant Biotechnology Research Unit at the Princess Dr. Najlaa Bint Saud Al Saud Center for Distinguished Research in Biotech. With over 14 years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Hakeem has also worked at the University of Kashmir, Srinagar, and the University of Putra Malaysia, Selangor, Malaysia. His specialty is in plant ecophysiology, molecular biology, plant-microbe-soil interactions, medicinal plant research, and environmental sciences. He has edited and authored many books with international publishers and also published many book chapters and research publications in peer-reviewed international journals. He was recently elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology, London, and is the recipient of many national and international awards and fellowships.
