Die statistische Analyse in dieser Studie wird durch das Mapping von objektiven Performanzdaten (Blickmuster) und subjektiven Nutzerdaten (aus Fragenbögen und Interviews) einer Testgruppe während der Interaktion mit einer Webapplikation realisiert. Insgesamt werden sechs Blickbewegungsparamter mit vier konkreten Nutzungsproblemen verknüpft und auf ihre Indikatorstärke hin überprüft. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass Eye-Tracking-Parameter prinzipiell das Potential haben, spezifische, subjektiv erlebte Nutzungsprobleme zu identifizieren. Für weiterführende Studien stellt dieses Buch eine Übersicht wichtiger Modelle von Nutzungsproblemen sowie einen Pool aus interpretierten Eye-Tracking-Parametern bereit. Darüber hinaus beschreibt dieses Buch ausführlich die Besonderheiten der Mensch-Computer-Interaktion, die Bedeutung und Durchführung der Evaluation von Usability sowie ein modernes, integratives Usability-Qualitätsmodell und charakterisiert die Besonderheiten der visuellen Wahrnehmung ebenso wie technische Aspekte der Erfassung von Blickbewegungen. This book contributes to making eye tracking as a method for usability-evaluation more efficient by developing empirically validated eye-tracking-parameters. The statistical analysis in this study is based on mapping a test group ́s subjective user data (via questionaires and interviews) on objective performance data (gaze-patterns) while interacting with a webapplication. Four specific problems which users face during computer interaction are mapped on six eye-tracking-parameters and tested for quality of problem indication. The findings of this study point out that eye-tracking-parameters do generally have the potential to indicate specific usage problems. This book also paves the way for future studies by giving both an overview of important models of usage problems and providing a pool of interpreted eye-tracking-parameters. Furthermore, this study provides a detailed description of the features of Human-Computer-Interaction, outlines the importance and procedure of evaluating usability and gives insight into a modern quality-model of usability, the features of visual perception and current eye-tracking-technology.
