In short, James' work, in its execution, implores its readers to consider what it means to be human and to recollect the presence of the divine in the world.

A young poet with an appreciation for beauty in nature and literature, Michael James has discovered poetry to be an enriching tool of faith. He finds rhapsodic delight for all things to do with words, and writes to illustrate God's creativity in a relatable manner. A speaker, storyteller, musician and actor, Michael James holds a degree in Neuroscience from the of University of Lethbridge, enjoys drinking tea, a riveting game of chess, and occasionally pondering why he is not an English major. "Un-Orthodox Boy" is Michael James' first poetry book.
