मानवी जीवनात ’मूल’ या घटनेला एक अजोड स्थान आहे. वंशसातत्याचं मूळ रुजणं म्हणजे मूल असणं. मूळ म्हणजेच मूल. ते असेल तरच संसारवृक्ष बहरतो, फुलतो आणि फळाला येतो. नसेल तर कोमेजतो, वाळतो, निष्पर्ण होऊन शेवटी नष्ट होतो. मूल असणं म्हणजे स्वतःच पुन्हा नव्यानं जन्माला येणं. नवं शरीर, नवं मन घेऊन पुन्हा जगण्यास प्रारंभ करणं. कुणाचं तरी आई-बाप, बहीण-भाऊ होऊन जगणं, हे आपल्या सड्याफटिंग, एकट्या जगण्यापेक्षा किती वेगळं असतं, याचे पडताळे येऊन आपण रसिक इथं थरारून जातो; समृद्धही होतो.

A story comes in different forms, it searches through the different modes of life. None of the experiences or forms of life are forbidden to it. At the same time, the writer undergoes some particular lifestyle. He expresses this through his writings. Still, he tries to take an aim at the universal happenings based on his personal experiences. This in turn makes the story universal with its peculiar body and form. This is a unique feature of the artistic stories.
