About the author

Trine Wulf-Andersen is Associate Professor of Youth, Welfare and Participatory Research, as well as Head of the Education, Social Inclusion and Profession Research Group at Roskilde University, Denmark. Her research interests include young people’s education and learning processes, identity and belonging, mental health and well-being and youth participation in research.

Reidun Follesø is Professor of Social Work in the Department of Health, Social and Welfare Studies at the University of South-Eastern Norway. Her research interests include child protection, youth research and children’s and youth’s participation in research and service development.

Terje Olsen is Research Director at Fafo Institute for Labour and Social Research in Oslo, Norway. He is also Editor-in-Chief of Nordic Welfare Research. His research interests include welfare state issues, disability studies, youth research, marginalization and labour market participation.
