More recently, director Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland (2010) used Wonderland lore to create an entirely new storyline about Alice and many of the other characters made famous by Carroll’s novels.

Considered a master of the genre of literary nonsense, he is renowned for his ingenious wordplay and sense of logic, and his highly original vision.
