The National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States was headed by:
THOMAS H. KEAN, Chair. Thomas Kean is a former governor of New Jersey (1982-1990) and, since 1990, the president of Drew University.
LEE H. HAMILTON, Vice Chair. Lee Hamilton is president and director of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. Prior to becoming director of the Wilson Center, he served for 34 years in Congress representing Indiana's Ninth District.
The other members were:
Richard Ben-Veniste, Fred F. Fielding, Jamie S. Gorelick, Slade Gorton, Bob Kerrey, John F. Lehman, Timothy J. Roemer, James R. Thompson
