About this ebook

In April 1963, the Forest Products Laboratory began to study plywood-decked pallets and develop improvements on them. As part of this study, two surveys were conducted of plywood pallets in use. In May 1963, visits were made to eight industrial users of plywood pallets in the Midwest: Chicago and Decatur, Ill.; South Bend, Ind.; and Milwaukee, Wis. During September and October 1964, 13 users were visited in the west coast areas: Los Angeles and San Francisco, Calif.; Portland, Oreg.; and Tacoma, Wash. This report presents the observations and results of those surveys.
