An important feature of the Companion is its examination of how phenomenology has contributed to central disciplines in philosophy such as metaphysics, philosophy of mind, moral philosophy, aesthetics and philosophy of religion as well as disciplines beyond philosophy such as race, cognitive science, psychiatry, literary criticism and psychoanalysis.

Sebastian Luft is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Marquette University, USA. He is the author of Subjectivity and Lifeworld in Transcendental Phenomenology (2011), and the editor of The Neo-Kantian Reader (forthcoming with Routledge).
Søren Overgaard
is Associate Professor of Philosophy at the Center for Subjectivity Research, University of Copenhagen, Denmark. He is the author of Husserl and Heidegger on Being in the World (2004), and Wittgenstein and Other Minds (2007).
