The apparent suicide of his policeman brother sets Denver crime reporter Jack McEvoy on edge. Michael Connelly is the author of thirty-nine previous novels, among them New York Times bestsellers The Waiting, Resurrection Walk, and Desert Star. Connelly is a former newspaper reporter who has won numerous awards for his journalism and his novels.
