‘’T h e Le g e n d o f S l e e py Ho l l ow,’ is a short story authored by Washington Irving, in which the schoolmaster Ichabold Crane meets with a headless horseman.
Irving’s The Sketch Book of Geoffrey Crayon, Gent. (1819- 20) was a huge success. The book was a collection of short stories including The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. The were highly influenced by German folk tales. This book under the series ‘Young Readers Classic’ describes the whole story in an interesting and brief way. Lively illustrations make the book even more attractive and interesting.
