The Knock is a work of fiction, set in the north of England, extrapolated from the realities of the work of front line regional newspaper news reporters and the sort of situations they face on a daily basis and the sort of people they are, and can become, when dealing with these situations.

Um höfundinn
Peter Taylor is a former newspaper journalist and magazine contributor. He always wanted to write fiction but was too busy for a long time enjoying life with his wife Lesley and together bringing up three wonderful people - his son Daniel and two daughters Sarah and Laura - to achieve this aim. Now he has more time to spend on this activity – when he can divert from three beautiful granddaughters – and he is planning more books focusing on contemporary issues. Peter also writes travel pieces and has an interesting travel blog which can be found at http://www.globewanderer.co.uk. He welcomes comments on it.
