"The Jungle" is a fictional novel written by Upton Sinclair, an American muckraker author, in the early 20th century. À propos de l'auteur
Upton Sinclair (1878-1968) connaît une enfance pauvre et nomade. À vingt ans, il est correspondant de guerre à Cuba. Rendu célèbre par La Jungle, il multiplie les livres coup de poing, dénonçant les tares de la société américaine. Il signe sans doute son chef-d’œuvre en 1927 avec Pétrole !
