Phoenix envies her brother Gryphon. The daredevil and sports hero has all of his recons left: three more chances at life. His friends' code of silence makes it difficult to find out what happened, but Phoenix is determined to unravel the mystery and save her brother.

Award-winning author Carrie Mac is well-known for her adeptness at captivating young adult audiences; she has written nine books for young adults, and won the 2010 Sheila A. Egoff Book Prize for her most recent work, The Gryphon Project. When Mac isn’t writing, she is serving the public through her work as a paramedic. She lives with her family in Vancouver, BC.
