The Game of Go by Arthur Smith (1870-1929), first published in 1908. This book is intended as a practical guide to the game of Go. According to chess master Emanuel Lasker: "The rules of Go are so elegant, organic, and rigorously logical that if intelligent life forms exist elsewhere in the universe, they almost certainly play Go."
