The Dinosaur Book (Level 5 Reader)

For the time this book was released in, i would say its bad, there are lots of issues and inconsistent facts. For example: "dinosaurs closest relatives are **aligators** and **snakes**".....despite aligators being a species of crocodilians and snakes not being archosauros at all, i see no reason as to why not replace snakes with birds, knowing fully well the book acknowledges that birds and dinosaurs are related (despite birds being dinosaurs and that you can't evolve out of a clade), and also the many clades of animals in this book aren't dinosaurs at all (Example: pterosaurs and ichthyosaurs). I also don't like how this book insists on using inaccurate and already dated depictions of dinosaurs (example: micro raptor being depicted as a featherless ground dwelling animal), and that by the point this book was released, feathers were already commonly accepted by paleontologists. In short: book kinda sucks, no wonder it's free.
