Kes Gray lives in Witham, Essex, with his wife, young family and assortment of animals. After a career working in television advertising, Kes has established himself as a popular and prize-winning children's author. His picture book, Eat Your Peas, illustrated by Nick Sharratt won the 2001 Red House Children's Book award, which is judged entirely by children. It was also awarded the Sheffield and Stockport children's book prizes. His other titles for Hodder Children's Books include Baby On Board, Mum and Dad Glue, and Leave Me Alone.
