About the author

Dr. Tarun Gaddam, born in Charukupalli in the Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh, emerged from an agricultural background. Raised by farming parents, Gaddam Ramesh Babu and Gaddam Sriindrani, who cultivated rice and Black Gram, Tarun defied the odds to carve his path. With an innate curiosity for both photography and botany, he pursued a B.Sc in Agriculture at Centurion University, igniting his passion for seed development. This fervor led him to obtain an M.Sc in Agriculture from Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology, and Sciences, further honing his skills in plant breeding. Unsatisfied with just a master's degree, Tarun pursued a Ph.D. in Genetics and Plant Breeding from Guru Kashi University in Punjab, delving into the intricacies of genetic diversity and variability in wheat. By day, he immerses himself in genetics research to enhance agriculture, while by night, he captures breathtaking moments through the lens of his camera, a testament to his dual passions and unwavering dedication.
