Book Description: What is the ultimate dream of every football fan?
Three young guns cross paths in a Mumbai street. Their common goal—to attend a FIFA World Cup final. Cornered by familial expectations, job dissatisfaction, insecurities and heartbreaks, the oddballs will have to dribble their way out or succumb to mediocrity.
Travel with the misfit trio from the familiar lanes of Mumbai to the grandiose streets of Moscow as they meet people in distant lands. Is beating old adversities enough to break free? Or will newer goals along the way take precedence?
Takshak Dawda is a thirty-year-old adventurer who grew up watching football on television, and then attended the World Cup in Russia. He has shared his journey from Mumbai to Moscow in his debut novel, Four White Nights. The title of the book is derived from the four day he spent with his friends in Saint Petersburg during the ‘white nights’, during which each of them went through a personal metamorphosis. It is also an ode to Fyodor Dostovsky’s short story - White Nights.
