To assess duke James, her betrothed, Lady Meg and her aunt investigate his country estate. Their scheme of disguise and deception backfires hilariously when the duke swaps places with his man of business, leading to a series of mistaken identities and unexpected romances. This book is so much fun! It’s a bit of a romp, but not so over-the-top that it’s not believable. The characters are each unique and likeable, and I loved all the different points of view.
