I enjoyed book four as much as the other books in the series. The author's vivid descriptions dragged my attention back to a past where stagecoaches were a form of traveling over land, stagecoach robberies occurred, and steamboats provided passage for people and goods over the rivers. I loved Jem's concern and care for his sister, Ellie. I absolutely recommend this series for the family values which each story illustrated. I liked Jim Hodges' narration, and his performance added to my enjoyment.
