About the author

Dr. Srikanta Moharana is an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry, School of Applied Sciences, Centurion University of Technology and Management, Odisha, India. He received his M.Sc. in Chemistry (2012) from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, and Ph.D. (2019) and M.Phil. (2013) in Chemistry from School of Chemistry, Sambalpur University, Odisha, India. He has expertise in the field of perovskite metal oxide-based composite materials, graphene, nanomaterials, carbon nanotubes, ceramics, and functionalized metal oxide-based polymer nanocomposites (FCPNs) and has published more than 30 research papers in journals of international repute. He has been awarded the Prof. GB Behera Best Ph.D. thesis award under the banner of the Orissa Chemical Society. He has strong experience in the field of polymer and its nanocomposites targeted to various applications.

Dr. Smita Mohanty is the principal scientist at School for Advanced Research in Polymers (SARP): LARPM-Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET), Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Govt. of India. She has more than 15 years of experience, with research interests in polymers, coatings, adhesives, paints and composites, biomaterials, and functionalization of polymeric materials. She has published more than 160 articles in international peer-reviewed journals and is the winner of the National Awards by the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Govt. of India, and Young Scientist Award by Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India. She was a recipient of Outstanding Research Faculty 2017–18 in Materials Science discipline through Scopus by Careers 360 and has seven Indian patents to her credit.

Sukanya Pradhan is a polymer technologist. She has received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Anna University, India, in 2019. She has published many papers in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and international conferences proceedings. Her research interest includes polymer synthesis, polymer characterization coatings and adhesive, polymer composites, biodegradable polymers, and feminine hygiene. She has presented many invited and contributed talks at international conferences. She has over five years of teaching experience at undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate levels. She has active participation in applying innovative teaching methods to encourage student learning objectives. She is also a life member of various professional bodies like Indian Science Congress Association and Orissa Chemical Society, among others.
