kick me for forgetting Timms doesn't know how to end a book with closure. She only uses cliffhangers. I guess at 80 my only excuse is old age but I still am annoyed such a prolific writer remains so stunted. What's worse is that she is otherwise a better than decent writer, Her plots are ingenious, the principals are appealing, engaging and creative, and the supporting characters are not generally stereotypes but unique individuals. She just doesn't understand how to provide reader closure while still sustaining readér interest in the series. Oh well.

Well I finished the first one and now I have to see what happens in the next book, but the first one did have a good bit of drama, so I hope the next one is going to up the ante.
