About the author

Stephen Charnock (1628-1680) was an English Puritan theologian and Presbyterian clergyman. Educated at Emmanuel College, Cambridge, he served as a minister in London and later in Dublin, Ireland. Charnock is best known for his extensive theological writings, particularly his magnum opus, The Existence and Attributes of God, which is considered a classic work of Puritan theology.
