Rose Red

This whole book series is worth reading. As the first, Rose Red holds a special place in my heart. I enjoyed how the events in the book also get mentioned and make a difference in the lives of future Sleeping Beauty, Inc. models. Stephanie Van Orman takes a story premise that could be dark, shocking, and covered in smut and instead presents it with grace and true storytelling magic.

Sweet, funny, unique. I loved Harrison and Paige’s down-to-earth relationship and how they formed a genuine friendship despite the less than ideal situation. Enjoyable the whole way through, from Paige thinking Harrison might be a serial killer, to their first kiss. It’s refreshing to find a clean, wholesome romance with an interesting storyline.

Really enjoyed this book! The story world felt totally original and the plot drew me along quickly with surprising turns. Likable characters, too! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
