I picked up Pax Indica out of curiosity to understand India’s role in global politics, and I’m genuinely glad I did. Shashi Tharoor has a way of making even complex diplomatic matters feel engaging and relevant. His writing is sharp, intelligent, and full of insight—but never dry or boring. What I liked most is how he blends his personal experiences as a former diplomat with broader policy discussions. It doesn’t feel like you're just reading a textbook—there’s a narrative flow, a point of view, and even a bit of wit here and there. It made me see India's foreign policy in a much broader, more nuanced light. Some chapters were a bit heavy, especially where there’s a lot of political context or institutional references, but I still found it worth sticking through. This book isn’t just for foreign policy experts—if you’re even slightly interested in how India interacts with the world, this is a great read.

Misunderstood is not your average self help book. It is a rare blend of heartfelt storytelling and evidence-based insight. Sree Krishna Seelam opens up with deep vulnerability, sharing personal experiences alongside numerous real-life stories that make the concepts feel relatable and human. What makes the book stand out is how these narratives are seamlessly woven with factual, well-researched information on psychology and mental well-being, backed by consultations with professionals in the field. It doesn’t just speak to the reader emotionally, it educates them. The chapters are rich with practical knowledge, explained in a way that’s both simple and grounded in science. Whether you are new to self-help literature or a long-time reader in search of something genuine, this book would be the best choice.

About the author

International bestselling author Sree Krishna Seelam is not your usual writer.

He calls himself a rebel with a “bachelor’s in common sense and an urge to learn.”

Sree Krishna doesn’t write books to chase sales or fame; he writes to ignite change and to make law, justice, mental health, and dignity accessible to every common citizen.

Every rupee his books earn goes to causes bigger than himself: educating rural girls, supporting elder care, and fighting for those who have no voice. Writing, for him, is a way to give back to the planet for the privilege of living on it.

Known for his rebel spirit and unflinching honesty, his words are brutal, raw, and fearless.

He believes books can be weapons for change, and he is determined to use every one of them to spark a revolution.
