About this eBook

What if my dream job is really a nightmare?

I shouldn’t have taken a job I knew nothing about, but I was desperate. That’s how I wound up living in a sprawling mansion that looked more like it belonged in Europe than America. My billionaire boss locks me in my room every night from ten to eight. That’s weird, right? Should I spend more time obsessing over the occult-inspired artwork or the creepy blue lights that surround the mansion at night? Or should I keep my mouth shut and focus on working off my mountain of debt? (A fast-paced urban fantasy you won’t want to put down.)

I didn't make it pass page 54 really tried to give the book a chance. It was very little story and more of in someone's thought. It seemed like the story was never going to progress. Did i mention it was seriously boring and the male character seriously lacked personality. The female character was just an annoying outcast type of person who amuses themselves thinking of weird things.

It could be better. It was boring, too much talking, no action and it took forever to get to the point. Why separate the storyline? Why not complete it all in one book? I didn't get that.

Her writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole of each story. You truly feel as though you are living among the characters, fighting their fight, a part of their world. Great character development, steamy sex scenes and enough of the everyday grind to really be able to sink into the book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

About the author

Writer Joquena Lomelino will be the first to admit that she’s weird. Given how the real world is often boring, she’d much rather play make-believe with shifters, vampires, and aliens. When she’s not writing about strange fantasy worlds and evil villains being laid low, she’s whispering sweet nothings to her robots for mopping her floors and washing her laundry. She’s hoping to keep them on her good side for when Skynet takes over. Too bad the robots may never forgive her or her husband for the horrors they force them to endure in the daily battle against evil, otherwise known as the constant messes made by her six children.

T.L. Krouse has always been a geek at heart. Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, and DC and Marvel Comics are his lifeblood. His wife is a nerd too, and when she allowed Batman and Wonder Woman as their wedding cake toppers instead of the traditional bride and groom, he knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that they were destined to be together forever. He’s also a metalhead and a 30+ year veteran on the guitar, and when he’s not crafting tales of alien invasion or epic shifter battles, he’s crunching Metallica riffs or shredding Van Halen solos. Every Halloween, he tries to carve more elaborate jack-o’-lanterns (past years’ designs include Skeletor, Darth Vader, and Wolverine). He’s actively indoctrinating his six children to be the next generation of geeks.
