thank you dear author for this historically accurate yet fictional romance with Mary Queen of Scots. She's most probably my favorite historical figure. I love reading or watching about her life and time period, and i enjoy the fantasy or scify adjustments each author creates. (if i'm being honest, i felt a bit disappointed when you wrote about her growing taste for sexual experience in only a few lines, but that's just me being to used to hot steamy romance books.) To be fair, carrying in with the reading, i thought it was gracious of you to not write steamy details in this book. This Queen deserves any happiness and pleasure she can get, but she also deserves privacy and discretion. And for that, i respect your choice. Of course i cried -a lot- for the last few pages, but you're right, she had to die no matter what, it was impossible to reach a happily ever after. thank you for granting her a happy year.

Skye MacKinnon Saving His Queen: A Mary Queen of Scots Romance (Academy of Time Book 3) I have never heard of the Time Travel Academy and Ms. MacKinnon is a New author to me but definitely one I will be keeping my eye on. I love history and I actually enjoyed this book very much. This time we have a Male time traveler, Drake who has fallen in love with Mary Queen of Scots. There’s lots of drama and twists unfolding in this fast paced story. While the author does not change Mary’s story she does use her artistic license to manipulate time. Mary’s life and story itself is fascinating. The author does a wonderful job creating characters you’re sure to like and a tale that you won’t want to put down. I enjoyed the story so much! Thank you Ms. MacKinnon for this intriguing love story.

I enjoyed reading the story, but I feel it was a bit short and jumped forward a little too fast. It would have been nice to see more of them together. All of a sudden, it´s 10 months later, then poof she´s suddenly ill and had to go back to the past. It was a bit jarring. No HEA here, but that was expected. At first, I would have liked an ending showing Drake and little Petra. But, as it stands now, it is definitely a very strong ending, and it does brings the story full circle. It's perfect.
