'Tease Me' is the first book in Sierra Cartwright's new series "Titans: The Reserve", which is a secret, exclusive BDSM club owned by Soren, Gabe, and Nathaniel. All dominant and competitive friends. On a side note about their friendship: the day they became friends is never discussed and referred to as the day that shall not be mentioned, so there's a large mystery there. Nathaniel works for Hawkeye as the leader of their A-Team. He's an adrenaline junkie and only visits the club when he's home on leave. This time as he visits he catches one of the club submissives yawning during a scene with one of their members and takes matters into his own hands to ensure Alani keeps her focus for the remainder of his fantasy. Unfortunately, the matter was brought to Soren her immediate boss and she was called into the office. In the meantime, Nathaniel comes into the office as well and Alani is informed Soren will be out of town and Nathaniel will be her temporary boss. The chemistry is palpable, the scenes are scorching hot, the drama is real, and the mystery swirling kept the pages turning rapidly. I can't wait to see what comes next.

4.5 stars - romance, suspense, humor, great characters POV: dual HUMOR: yes F BOMBS: yes STANDALONE: yes, but part of series NEW AUTHOR FOR ME: no POSSIBLE TRIGGERS: BDSM, spanking with belts/other items and sometimes leaving welts, attempted murder and kidnapping, alcohol, past abusive relationships CHARACTERS: Nathaniel Stratton (military officer) and Alani Dane (professional submissive) OVERALL: Great chemistry - Alpha Domlicious! - Recommend PROS: 1. All the safe, consensual reminders and tips on a trusting BDSM relationship 2. The dialogue combined with the character actions/movements really helped tell the story. More than just he said... she said... which would've left it more robotic than a well-rounded story. 3. Great characters. I totally loved Nathaniel and his possessive, alpha Dom take charge way, but also his honor, patience and tenderness. 4. Also loved Nathaniel's version of an "Alexa" home virtual assistant. She was sassy and hilarious! CONS: 1. This one bugged me, that she's a pro sub but she was mad at him and harped on it for quite a while for not going all the way after they scened for the first time. But they hadn't discussed it beforehand and her Dom didn't want to take advantage. He clearly showed her and expressed how interested he was, but he'd wait until next time. 2. This book can be read as a standalone, but there are instances that remind me that it's part of a series, like when it mentioned the name: Bonds. I didn't realize it was a person and who it was until later in the book. NOTEWORTHY: 1. Favorite quote (this quote comes after a knee-buckling, swoon-worthy kiss): He fisted her hair and tugged back her head. "Now we're clear. You belong to me, Alani." I really enjoyed this book, it had a little of everything, some very hot and steamy scenes, scenes that make your heart jump into your mouth and scenes that make you say aaah!, Nathaniel is exactly what Alani needs even if she doesn’t know it, he is almost psychic when it comes to her needs and desires. Alani’s life is full of tension and he is the only one that can relieve it and he does it so well and at the same time learns what he needs. A love story amid a very trying time but such a lovely ending.
