About the author

Dr Siddra Ijaz is Assistant Professor in the Centre of Agricultural Biochemistry and Biotechnology at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Pakistan. She is a molecular biologist who works with both plants and fungi, and has been engaged as a Visiting Scholar at the University of California Davis, USA. She is the author of the book Molecular Basis of Life, as well as various articles in a number of national and international journals.

Dr Imran ul Haq is Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant Pathology, at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Pakistan. He is a fungal molecular biologist and taxonomist, and has been engaged as a Visiting Scholar at the University of California Davis, USA. He currently runs research projects funded by national and international funding agencies, and has authored several national and international publications.
