The title poem of this collection, 'Resignation from Love Poems,' this poem I dedicate to every oppressed person in the world, especially the children, the children of Gaza, Sudan, Syria, Bangladesh, including my India, to the children of every country whose plight this world is silent about. These are not just poems, they are a refusal, they are an affirmation, a bridge to connect humans with the pain of other humans, and a hope. This book tells us about the many obstacles in the path of love, whether that love is between a lover and their beloved, between friends, or between one human being and another.
