Everyone’s getting ready for Christmas in Icicle Falls, especially on Candy Cane Lane, where holiday decorating is taken very seriously. But this year, someone’s destroying the precious decorations! Thank goodness for the cop in their neighborhood.
And while some town residents are excited to host their families for the holidays, others can sum up the holiday in two words: Bah, humbug. But despite family disasters, irritating ex-husbands and kitchen catastrophes, three women are going to find out that Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year!

When Muriel Sterling released her new book, A Guide to Happy Holidays, she felt like the queen of Christmas. She’s thrilled when the new tree she ordered online arrives and is eager to show it off—until she gets it out of the box and realizes it’s a mangy dud. But rather than give up on the ugly tree, Muriel decides to make a project out of it. As she pretties up her tree, she realizes there’s a lesson to be learned: everything and everyone has potential.
