About the author

Shaheemath Suhara K. K. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Soil and Water Conservation Engineering at Kelappaji College of Agricultural Engineering and Food Technology, Tavanur, under Kerala Agricultural University. She completed her PhD at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. Her research interests focus on conserving natural resources to enhance food and water security. She has research experience in hydrology, geoinformatics (GIS), remote sensing, agricultural engineering, precision farming, irrigation, drainage engineering, and spatial analysis of natural resources. Additionally, she is the developer of the drip design software, Drip Design Check.

A. K. Haghi is a retired professor and has written, co-written, edited, or co-edited more than 1000 publications, including books, book chapters, and papers in refereed journals with over 4200 citations and h-index of 34, according to the Google Scholar database. Professor Haghi holds a BSc in urban and environmental engineering from the University of North Carolina (USA) and holds two MSc degrees, one in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University (USA) and another one in applied mechanics, acoustics, and materials from the Université de Technologie de Compiègne (France). He was awarded a PhD in engineering sciences at Université de Franche-Comté (France). He is a regular reviewer of leading international journals.
