About this ebook

Three fairly young, sheltered sisters, Ronnie, ReNae and Monica learn to cope with relocating from a small rural area in New Jersey to the big, fast paced life of Atlanta, Georgia. Having very little street knowledge of a big city, the girls are forced to learn about the tough and unloving streets through interacting with different people from walks of life in which they are not accustomed to. They learn about love, hurt and how to make the right decisions. The young ladies finds themselves falling into the arms of strong, masculine and powerful men that would eventually blow their minds, but also takes them a ride they'd never forget. Although the signs of danger and deceit stares them directly in the face, they choose to tough it out until danger shows up on their front doorstep. Ronnie, the middle sister, starts out as a young, na ve, respectable, and sassy woman in a round about way. She ends up in an uncompromising relationship that her mother strongly disapproves of. Ronnie feels as if her mother is being extremely overbearing and oblivious of her feelings. When Ronnie discovers how domineering her drug lord boyfriend, Rock, is she then realizes that everything her mother has been preaching is in fact the truth. Renae, the oldest sister of the three, tries to be Ronnie's guardian angel, but she soon find herself caught up in the drug game as well. Nae takes a liking to one of Rock's right hand men. In dire need of money, Nae reluctantly takes a job as a dancer in a club owned by some of Rock's relatives, and later ends up in a bad situation gone worse. Monica, the youngest sister, primarily focuses on finishing law school, but also befriends Rock's closest cousin, and right hand man, Trey. Upon Monie's graduation, she plans an extremely big graduation party that is shortly followed by an unexpected engagement proposal. A catastrophic tragedy occurs, that instantaneously deters Monie's wedding plans. Sha Rhonda Dukes is a New Jersey native. She acquired a love for Greek Mythology and creative writing during her high school years. She moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1994, with the intent to eventually become an entertainer. After going through a handful of failed relationships, she decided to use them as learning experiences. She would later take some of her own personal experiences along with some from her siblings and friends to turn them into a story. After holding on to a vision for nearly ten years, Sha Rhonda suddenly became adamant about sharing her vision with the world. She asked herself how she would make it all come about. She had no connections or mentors to learn what it took to be a successful writer. After hearing that one of her childhood friends released a CD, it only inspired her even more to make it all come together. She is deeply inspired by the awesome works of Tyler Perry. Kimberla Lawson Roby, Terri McMillan, Omar Tyree, Michael Baisden and Yolanda Rabb are a few of her favorite authors.
