The evilest man I’ve ever known is High King Darius of Shanhasson. My brother. 

I have one chance to escape his torment. The only place far—and dreadful—enough to deter him from hunting me down is the savage land of Keldar. Leaving Shanhasson to secure allies in the desert tribes, I find sanctuary with the fiercest, most powerful Keldari warrior that I can find. 

Zahak is the “doer of dirty deeds” for his tribe. Exactly the kind of formidable ally I need. However, I had no idea that these Keldari warriors shapeshift into dragons. Nor how close he is to losing control of the dragon fire threatening to consume him.

As soon as his dragon lays eyes on me, he threatens to bathe all of Keldar in blistering flames and destroy all that he holds dear.

If my brother doesn’t find a way to kill me first.
