One of the worst books I've read. The writing is awful, the characters have no personality, and most of the relationship happens between chapters. The story is written in a weird past-tense way where characters recount important events in the book after they have happened rather than the reader going through it with the characters. I really don't understand the 4 star rating this book has and it makes me very suspect of the reviewers.

A wonderful read if not for the female character. She was tedious and fussy about little things that shouldn't matter. why can't people accept love without putting timelines on to it. Or saying money doesn't matter when she was obviously insecure that she wasn't as financially stable. Realizing her mistake was her redemption. Love is freely given without counting cost or how much you give into that relationship, what matters is that your partner makes you happy and loved and valued even in little ways.

This was a frustrating read. I have a family member on the spectrum, but high functioning. Like the Christian character, he doesn't do interpersonal relationships well and absolutely cannot read people. I realize that this type of person also needs love, but probably would not end up with a person like the Riley character. And Riley was, as someone else mentioned, way too caught up in her own thoughts and misgivings. I would not recommend this book.
