When I first committed to doing the 40 days, I thought it would just be a simple daily reading. Two co-workers decided to do it with me. We were so blessed by this!! We would all have testimonies as to how the reading for that particular day coincided with what was going on in our lives. I almost said, "It was like Jesus was really talking to us!" But as a believer I KNOW He really was. Get the book. It will be well worth it!!!

I didn't like the first person as if Jesus were talking. His words are already in the Bible and this felt too new-age and contrived. I didn't want to read more after the sample.
