About the author

Dr. Sanjay Mavinkere Rangappa is a Principal Research Scientist, Associate Professor, and Advisor at King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB). He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering Science from Visvesvaraya Technological University, India, and completed postdoctoral research at KMUTNB. An Associate Editor for Heliyon (Elsevier) and Frontier Materials, he has reviewed for 200+ journals and edited 45 books. With 350+ publications and 25,000+ citations, he is among Stanford University’s Top 2% Scientists (2019–2022). His research focuses on natural fiber composites and advanced materials. He has received multiple international awards and patents.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Habil. Suchart Siengchin is President of King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB). He holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Technology, and Material Science from German universities and earned his Ph.D. from the University of Kaiserslautern. He completed postdoctoral research at Kaiserslautern and Purdue University. A full professor at KMUTNB, he has received multiple Outstanding Researcher Awards. His research focuses on polymer processing and composite materials. He has authored over 350 journal articles and edited 30 books. Recognized among the world’s top 2% scientists by Stanford University (2020–2024), he also serves as Editor-in-Chief of KMUTNB IJAST.

Dr. Balaganesan received his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from P.A.C Ramasamy Raja Polytechnic, Rajapalayam, Tamilnadu, India in 1991 and AMIE. in Mechanical Engineering from Institution of Engineers (India), Kolkata, India in 2000, M.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, Tamilnadu, India in 2003, Doctor of Philosophy in Aerospace Engineering (Ph. D.) from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai, India in 2008. He has 25 years of industrial and teaching experience. He is the author of more than 40 peer reviewed Journal Articles.

Dr. Kushvaha has a diversified educational and research background in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Materials and Biomedical). He earned his Dual Degree (B. Tech. + M. Tech.) from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) in Civil Engineering (Specialization in Structural Engineering). Following that he earned his second master’s and PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering (focused on Fracture Characterization of Composite Materials under Impact Loading) at Auburn University, Auburn, AL, USA. During his PhD, he worked at the Mayo Clinic, the world's most renowned medical institution. His diversified research background led him to publish in various engineering journals, and in several international conferences.
