Richter’s Epic of Eden clarifies confusing Old Testament culture, geography, and covenants to reveal God’s redemptive plan. It helps Christians connect their faith story to Scripture’s grand narrative, restoring the church’s memory of its roots through practical clarity and theological depth ideal for laypeople. It shows that the OT is foundational for understanding God’s redemptive work. Warmly recommended for all seeking to better grasp Scripture’s unity and God’s unfolding plan.

An excellent and highly readable survey of the main biblical thread. Redemption and Covenants are explained phenomenally. The book will help any reader get a better mental grasp of the overarching narrative. The down side for some is that the author subscribes to the Framework theory of Genesis, but beyond that the work will not be (too) controversial for conservative Christian readers.

The aim of this book is to help organize a students thoughts and ideas about old testament: people, culture, society, religion, geography, etc. It accomplishes this well but it doesn't stop there. It paints a beautiful picture of a loving God.
