Plot twist cozy by Pandy52 This collection contains two cozies both concerning Joey, a young woman living in a small town with her sweet dog Caphy. Joey is the cousin of Felly from previous stories by the same author and Felly comes into this story via phone conversations. Both stories in this collection leave the plot line open for follow-ups and I liked the way the author twisted the plot so it wasn't evident who the murderer was. I loved the animals, and the way the characters interacted with them. There are plenty of interesting characters in the small town of Deer Hollow and I'm sure they will show up in following stories. My problem with these cozies is that the female lead is immature and self-indulgent, something that I really don't care for. I personally find this a big turn-off when I am reading books and for this reason I had to lower my rating of it. I really enjoyed having the first two books in this series together in one collection for my reading ease. These books are well written and kept me laughing. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I couldn’t put the book down. I was up all night reading. It wasn’t too heavy. It was light and easy to read. Life has been hard lately for everyone and this book allows you to escape and relax for a little while. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
